A woman’s leg has swollen to enormous
proportions due to a parasitic condition.
Rezia Begum’s a 40 year old woman has a leg weighs around 60kg (132lbs) due to suspected elephantiasis.
The old women from Bangladesh, has suffered from the condition ever since the birth of her second daughter 18 years ago. As a result, she is now dependent on the support of her relatives. Ms Begum added.
She is being cared at Dhaka Medical College
Hospital in Bangladesh but treatment is yet to begin working.
